100 North Main Street
#18036 (Alpharetta, GA)
Sitting on the northern edge of a vibrant "downtown" mixed use district, the architecture is a blend of urban qualities of several styles approved within the City’s guidelines. To simplify the description, I would characterize this design effort as “Neoclassical”. The materials are primarily a white/cream brick veneer color (A), with a base of cast stone and/or an alternate red/brown brick veneer color (B). Many details such as window/door lintels are of precast stone. Other architectural features important to the design include window canopy/awnings, lights, porticoes, blade & applied letters signage, etc ... each with attention to historical authenticity to meet the city’s goals of a streetscape harkening back to the late 1800’s thru the early 1900’s. This beautiful addition to the fabric of downtown Alpharetta has spawned further development of high-quality projects on nearby properties. Upper floors support various business uses, while the rooftop terrace provides a very unique oasis for tenants. The main floor features east and west lobbies that feel like art galleries. . . providing a luxurious approach for two fine dining destinations.
