Small towns in Mississippi often struggle to make public dollars stretch for all the things needed and wanted.  Flora, located on the western side of Mississippi’s wealthiest county, is no exception.  In 2011 the town received a grant that allowed the creation of a much-needed new police station.  Our design intended to nestle comfortably into the downtown neighborhood… we didn’t try for an award for outlandish “architecture”.  Instead, we provided a simple functional and attractive facility that serves the community welfare within the historical fabric of brick agricultural tradition.
